Zentangle® Workshop with Stephanie Funke, Certified Zentangle® Teacher

Monday, September 28, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm CT
Shalom Spirituality Center

The Zentangle® Art Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Regardless of artistic skills, participants are invited to use repetitive, elemental strokes to draw delightful pieces of art. Attendees will be in a supportive environment as they learn a few basic terms and information about the Zentangle® Method and spend the day drawing a variety of patterns while the instructor provides simple, step-by-step instructions.

This experience has also been associated with stress reduction, increased confidence, creativity, focus, and a sense of personal well-being. People of all ages, skills, interests, and countries enjoy the Zentangle® Method because it is independent of language, age, political views, religious beliefs, or any other category that separates one from another. Only a few basic supplies are needed and these will be provided to participants.

Stephanie Funke is a Certified Zentangle® Teacher with several years of in-person and virtual teaching experience.

$75 per person, including lunch and art materials; please register online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by Thursday, September 24.

Since Shalom does not employ a dietician, and to best serve your dietary needs, please inform us of any diagnosed food allergies, including wheat and dairy (NOT food preferences), seven days in advance. If you have specific dietary needs, please contact Margie Gassman at 563-582-3592.

To accommodate vegetarian diets, fruits and vegetables are served with every meal. Food desired beyond a typical omnivore diet is the guest’s responsibility (including but not limited to gluten-free, pescatarian, vegan, or low-glycemic). Requests for diet preferences or changes made to the kitchen staff at the time of serving will not be honored unless arrangements have been made ahead of time.
