Saturday, April 6, 1:00 - 2:30 pm
Shalom Spirituality Center
In observance of April being National Child Abuse Prevention Month, come listen to author, pastor, motivational speaker and Domestic Violence Awareness Advocate, Joe Potosi.
Potosi’s memoir, When the Dust Settled (2017), is the true story of a young child’s struggle to survive in the world, despite enduring many terrible circumstances. When he was just three years old, his father abandoned him, his siblings, and his mother. Over the next fifteen years, this young boy endured physical and emotional abuse from both of his parents, finding himself “between a rock and a hard place” for over a decade of his life. Despite the evil that was inflicted upon him, this story shows the power of the human spirit and the will to survive, no matter the circumstances. This book also shows the power of God’s purpose for each life He created, and affirms that your condition does not have to be your conclusion. Learn more at www.joepotosi.com.
No cost to attend, but free will donations will be accepted; please RSVP attendance online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by Friday, April 5.
