Sunday, January 19, 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Shalom Spirituality Center
As we approach the Presidential Inauguration, many people may be experiencing feelings of uncertainty or concern. Regardless of political perspectives, we can all recognize the deep divisions in society and the challenges they bring. These emotions, if not addressed constructively, can lead to feelings of despair, apathy, or distress.
One meaningful way to process these emotions and seek peace is by coming together as a community to lament. Lamentation is a timeless form of prayer that acknowledges and vocalizes concerns, asks for guidance, and fosters a sense of trust and hope.
We invite you to join us in a community vigil of lamentation. This is a free event, though voluntary donations to support the ministry are welcome.
Walk-ins are welcome, but we would appreciate an RSVP at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by Friday, January 17.
