Walking Around in the Valley of Dry Bones Retreat

Sunday, June 16, 5:00 pm - Friday, June 21, 11:00 am
Shalom Spirituality Center
Facilitator: Nancy Schreck OSF

“The blessed light of the Divinity will illumine the heart only when the heart is completely empty of everything.” ~ St. Hesychios

The Valley of Dry Bones is certainly a place of emptying and then filling. It is an experience as old as Ezechiel and as present as our current reality. In this retreat, participants will explore both scriptural wisdom and the practice of mantra meditation. In other words, both biblical exploration and the experience of contemplation will be the means through which participants will retreat from everyday activity and hopefully find the blessed light of Divinity.

• Overnight Cost: $500
• Commuter Cost: $375
• Meals included, beginning with supper at 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 16.

To accommodate vegetarian diets, fruits and vegetables are served with every meal. Food desired beyond a typical omnivore diet is the guest’s responsibility (including but not limited to gluten-free, pescatarian, vegan, or low-glycemic).
