Shalom Winter Breakfast with Leslie Shalabi

Thursday, December 19, 7:30 - 8:30 am
Shalom Spirituality Center

Begin celebrating winter by joining friends old and new for our seasonal breakfast. The food will be wonderful, and the spirit refreshing!

Join Convivium Urban Farmstead Founder, Leslie Shalabi, to learn about the origins of Convivium and its philosophical roots – which are based on connection, community, and radical generosity.

Leslie Shalabi is co-founder of Convivium Urban Farmstead, a Dubuque-based non-profit organization based on the idea of improving life through food. A life-long lover of food and entertaining, she is dedicated to helping people find ways to connect through the universal languages of food and hospitality.

$15 per person; please register online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by Friday, December 13.

Since Shalom does not employ a dietician, and to best serve your dietary needs, please inform us of any diagnosed food allergies, including wheat and dairy (NOT food preferences), seven days in advance. If you have specific dietary needs, please contact Margie Gassman at 563-582-3592.

To accommodate vegetarian diets, fruits and vegetables are served with every meal. Food desired beyond a typical omnivore diet is the guest’s responsibility (including but not limited to gluten-free, pescatarian, vegan, or low-glycemic). Requests for diet preferences or changes made to the kitchen staff at the time of serving will not be honored unless arrangements have been made ahead of time.
