"Caste: The Origins of Our Discontent" by Isabel Wilkerson

In her recently published book, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Isabel Wilkerson gives us a masterful portrait of an unseen phenomenon in America as she explores, through an immersive, deeply researched narrative and stories about real people, how America today and throughout its history has been shaped by a hidden caste system, a rigid hierarchy of human rankings. Because of the length and the importance of what this book has to say, we will discuss it in both sessions, addressing about half the book in each discussion.

Tuesday, January 26, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Tuesday, March 2, 6:30 - 8 p.m.

$6 per discussion, does not include book. Book is available at River Lights Bookstore. Registration is required by the Monday before each event.
