Step into a sacred rhythm of quiet, prayer, and deep listening.

A directed retreat offers you the opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with God in a peaceful, supportive setting. Each day includes a one-on-one spiritual direction session tailored to your journey, along with plenty of time for rest, contemplation, and solitude.

You may choose your spiritual director out of the following options:

- Marion Huettner
- Sr. Joan Mueller, BVM, Ph.D.
- Thom Dennis
- Matt Latchaw
- Sr. Ginny Heldorfer, OSF
- Rev. Jade Angelica, MDiv, DMin.
After you register, biographical details about the available spiritual directors will be sent to you, along with an intake form to record your choice and other pertinent information.

The cost is $750 and includes:
– 5 nights of overnight lodging at Shalom
– Delicious, nourishing meals beginning with supper at 5:00 pm on Sunday
– Daily individual spiritual direction
– A peaceful, prayerful environment designed for your renewal

Please register online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by noon on Friday, July 17.

Since Shalom does not employ a dietician, and to best serve your dietary needs, please inform us of any diagnosed food allergies, including wheat and dairy (NOT food preferences), seven days in advance. If you have specific dietary needs, please contact Margie Gassman at 563-582-3592.

To accommodate vegetarian diets, fruits and vegetables are served with every meal. Food desired beyond a typical omnivore diet is the guest’s responsibility (including but not limited to gluten-free, pescatarian, vegan, or low-glycemic). Requests for diet preferences or changes made to the kitchen staff at the time of serving will not be honored unless arrangements have been made ahead of time.
