Tuesday, March 25, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Shalom Spirituality Center
This year is the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi’s, Canticle of the Creatures, a religious song he composed shortly before his death. It is one of the best-known of his recorded words, summing up the saint’s abiding and integrating sense of God and God’s presence in all that exists. In this program, we will explore together the Canticle as the lens to better understand Francis’ deep relationship with God and how he prayed. Time for contemplative reflection and prayer together will be woven throughout.
This 1 ½ hour prayer experience will be led by the Sisters of St. Francis Charism Team members, Julie Tebbe, Nancy Knipper, Sisters Janet May, and Shell Balek.
Free-will donation; please RSVP online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by Monday, March 24.
