Praying Through the Pandemic

Six-Week Program of Intentional Prayer

Monday evenings via Zoom, 6:30-8:00, beginning August 24

$30, includes access to the six Zoom meetings and a weekly pdf of the workbook pages (need not attend all to participate)

Rather than giving in to a feeling of helplessness in the midst of this global pandemic, as Christians we have the power of prayer in our arsenal of defense against hopelessness and despair.

This six-week program covers different types of prayer, beginning with those of lament and ending with prayers of awe. Each weekly session invites us to learn from examples of prayer found in Scripture, encouraging participants to pray for themselves and others in intentional ways. Discussion prompts encourage the human connection we are all in need of right now, challenging each of us to dig deeper into our faith.

Facilitated by Shalom Program Coordinator and certified grief counselor, Mary Potter Kenyon. Register by noon on Friday, August 21 to receive the Zoom link and the first week's lesson in pdf format.
