Hybrid - Shalom Spirituality Center or via Zoom
In observance of May 15th being International Conscientious Objector Day, join us at Shalom for an inspiring documentary film about Franz Jägerstätter, an Austrian farmer who nonviolently refused conscription into the army of Nazi Germany. Jägerstätter has been beatified by the Catholic Church and is venerated as a martyr.
We will watch a short documentary film called Franz Jägerstätter: A Man of Conscience, followed by a discussion led by Heleana Theixos, PhD, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Loras College, focusing on moral philosophy.
No cost to attend, but free-will donations accepted; RSVP attendance at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by Wednesday, May 14.
