Meditative Photography

Weather permitting, this program will take place outside capturing the beauty of Shalom's campus.

Each of us expresses our creativity differently. Some use words. Others find joy and purpose in woodworking, painting, sewing, sculpture, or dance. For others, photography can be the voice to convey what they are unable to with words. Photography is a universal language we can all speak and understand. In this program, award-winning photographer David LaBelle offers three lessons on light, timing, and composition; and the importance of slowing down and learning to see beauty in the commonplace. This is a hands-on class using your smartphone camera. Participants will e-mail their day's photos to David to be included in a slide show at the end of the workshop.
