Monday, March 8, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Online Program Via Zoom
Facilitator: Sr. Pat Clemen, OSF
International Women's Day seems an appropriate occasion to celebrate Sister Thea Bowman, an African American born in 1937 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, whose life's mission was to share her rich cultural heritage and the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song, prayer, teaching, and preaching. Thea converted to Catholicism as a child, choosing a life as a Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration as an adult. She was able to cross cultural boundaries and share her culture and spiritual gifts while uplifting the cultural gifts of others. Join Sr. Pat Clemen for a discussion of the book, Thea Bowman, In My Own Words.
$6 for discussion, does not include book. Book is available through River Lights bookstore. Registration and payment due by Friday, March 5.
