Shalom Chapel and via Zoom
Join Mayor Brad Cavanagh and Sustainability Director Gina Bell as they discuss their experience at COP 28. COP 28 refers to the United Nations Climate Change Conference held in late 2023. COP is where the world comes together to agree on ways to address the climate crisis, such as limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius, helping vulnerable communities adapt to the effects of climate change, and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Mayor Cavanaugh and Ms. Bell will share photos, stories, and information about how their trip to Dubai in early December means big things for Dubuque moving forward.
Attendance is free; RSVP online at shalomretreats.org or call 563.582.3592 by Wednesday, February 21 at NOON.
