Joyce is well known for her work as a writer, spiritual midwife, international retreat leader, and conference speaker. She founded and has served as director of the Boundless Compassion program since 2007. Joyce is the author of numerous bestselling books, including Praying Our Goodbyes, Open the Door, Fragments of Your Ancient Name, and Return to the Root. Her 2018 book, Boundless Compassion, won awards from the Association of Catholic Publishers and from the Catholic Press Association. Joyce is a member of the Servite (Servants of Mary) community. She resides in Des Moines, Iowa.
This workshop offers the opportunity to become a certified facilitator of the Boundless Compassion program. The training prepares participants to use their individual talents and experiences to incorporate the Boundless Compassion program into their sphere of influence and to share the content in a variety of ways.
PLEASE NOTE: Participants in this one-day event are required to have attended a four-day Boundless Compassion retreat in person before attending this workshop. Along with full attendance at the four-day retreat, each interested person in the training workshop must request an application form from Sr. Bobbi Bussan, (email: firstname.lastname@example.org), complete it, and send it for review before being accepted into the training workshop. This program is in-person.
$175 per person (includes program, overnight accommodations, and meals) or $80 per person for commuters (includes program and meals); please register online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by June 23, 2022. Since Shalom does not employ a dietician, and to best serve your dietary needs, please inform us of any diagnosed food allergies, including wheat & dairy (NOT food preferences), 7 days in advance. If you have specific dietary needs, please contact Margie Gassman at 563-582-3592. In order to accommodate vegetarian & vegan diets, fruits & vegetables are served with every meal. Any food desired beyond a typical omnivore diet is the responsibility of the individual.
