Artisan Soul: Art as a Spiritual Practice
Monday, June 21, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Online Program via Zoom
Facilitator: Mary Potter Kenyon with guest artists
Creating can be an expression of meditative prayer. Mary Potter Kenyon, a Therapeutic Art coach, introduces the concept of art as a form of prayer as well as a healing practice. Mary will share how words have fed her soul. Guest artists include a woodcarver, acrylic painter, mixed media artist, musician, and a New York Franciscan sister whose Canticle of Creation painting helped her through the pandemic. Each of their stories will be featured, along with images of their work. We'll end the evening with a visio divina (divine seeing) exercise using one or more of the images.
$10 per person. Register and prepay by Friday, June 18, for Zoom link.
