Tuesday, February 27, and Tuesday, March 5 (a 2-part program), 7:00 pm-8:30 pm
Shalom Spirituality Center
The Lenten season invites us to make prayerful and contemplative spaces in our daily lives that allow us to listen anew to ourselves, others, and God. It is the perfect time to reflect on the Stigmata, the five wounds of Christ, which have manifested upon the bodies of various saints throughout the ages. Symbolically, the Stigmata can be seen as the “wounds” that afflict our society and world–the places where we encounter the Crucified One today. Join us as we consider 5 of the most troubling wounds of our modern world. We will learn from local activists who understand and work to address each wound, share the cathartic power of lamenting each pain, and finally call out to God for healing.
The cost is $30; please register online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by Friday, February 23.
